Singer with Rock the Ice IV
I came across a new talent (for me) while I was working at the Rocking The Ice IV show in Peterborough last week: Markus Engelstaedter.

Markus is a singer who specializes in covers of modern rock icons and he was in Peterborough to sing a few numbers live for skaters to skate to. I was impressed.
I was surprised and delighted when I heard Markus’ voice for the first time – for some reason it wasn’t what I expected: powerful, rich and strong. In speaking to the man himself, he has an almost quiet and gentle demeanour which contrasted with how I thought he would sound.
Markus is a trained musician and has spent the better part of his adult life touring in various shows including Rock meets Classic and currently a 17 gig tour with The Magic of Queen.
