I’m baaaaaaacccck! I didn’t realize that I was going to take 3 weeks off – until I did. I was sidetracked with home renovations, going through all of my papers from the season and preparing my taxes. In other words, April showers bring … er … get your house in order, or however that saying goes!

The good, no great news is Paul and I have created a plan to create and release content all the way through to the fall which will include blogs, videos and podcasts. I was busy at Worlds collecting some cool stuff, so what you will be seeing is new. We’re also going to continue with a Facebook Lives once a month – just so we can keep in touch!

First things first. The end of the competitive season heralds the start of the show season. This coming weekend in Toronto, Paul and I are going to go and see Stars on Ice. We’re also going to get the chance to take a peek backstage and are hoping to run into some friends. Even if we don’t, by all accounts it’s a terrific show. The star power alone is worth the price of admission! Tessa Virtue and Scott Moir, Meagan Duhamel and Eric Radford, Kaetlyn Osmond and Javier Fernandez, all individual Olympic event medallists from 2018 PyeongChang Games are skating with lots more great talent.

A show like Stars on Ice relies heavily on the work of the choreographer(s). Since retiring from competition as the 2008 World Champion and 2006 Olympic bronze medallist, Jeffrey Buttle has been lighting the skating world on fire with outstanding work. His client list reads like a who’s who of skating’s elite. In honour of being back, I wanted to take a look back at the podcast I did with Jeff himself in 2013.

It’s a great way to get back into the skating moodand to hear about how Jeff got his start. If you want to follow him on Twitter – he’s @J_Butt. Click on the banner below to listen to the interview.
